For those defending beauty and vulnerability in a harsh world.

Loving child, you wish for a world that is so pure and free of the machinations of bad players. You live by this mantra: to not take yourself seriously, but to instead take the things in your life seriously. It is such a beautiful concept and intention. I know you sense the but, vulnerable child, and it will not come. This is one of those moments where two things hold true. It is a beautiful intention, and the world may seek to oppose you. This might dishearten you, and that is okay. Do not see those who oppose this notion as bad people; they are misguided. Sometimes their misguidings strike them with such fear they build a lonely cathedral to defend their pain, but it does not make them bad. Even those considered the true depiction of evil have, in the worldly sense, merely strayed from the path. Yes, it brings misery, and this is because the world is more complicated than single explanations. Fear of all flavours and types lives deeply in this world, and it is up to us to heal our own and as much of others' as possible. It is the responsibility of all mankind to give unto the world equal love to all its occupants—not some selective and exclusive gift for those who earn it. Trust is a gift altruistically given, both to self and to others. So in this way, take yourself seriously, as it is the definition of the purest gift to life. Defend those who live vulnerably and beautifully, encourage those who live in violence, and offer unto the world every modicum of opportunity you can muster. Go stand on this battlefield, courageous and loving child; it is the place where the world is made.
